Hi, I’m Eduardo. This is “Travel”. That’s our video blog,
and we are in Seville, in the South of Spain. In Sevilla, in Spanish.
And you can see that we are sitting, having a coffee,
and you can see the… the ambiance… the way people are in the street.
And how lively this is.
And, as I said, we are just- it’s December, we are sitting, having a coffee,
it’s not hot, of course.
And yet it’s probably 15, 16 degrees, but it’s very nice.
It’s perfect to sit here and have a coffee and enjoy a little pastry.
And it’s very nice.
They just finished… They just finished singing some Christmas carols,
and it was very nice.
I recorded some, I don’t know if the recording was good,
or if I will put it, but anyway.
I would strongly recommend you to come to Seville,
and enjoy the city, and I would just leave you
with some images of the people in the city.

so I’m sure it’s going to be nice. Right now it’s Saturday morning,
it’s something like 11 in the morning Here is Seville.

I’m Eduardo and this is “Travel”.
And we are in Sevilla, in Seville, in the south of Spain.
And we are walking next to the orange trees, towards that.
Towards the Giralda. As I told you the other day, I’m going to show,
we are in the middle of the touristic area.
You can see all the tables here prepared for the visitors.
It’s, right now I think, it’s 3:30pm, so it’s just lunchtime,
or about to finish lunchtime, I guess.
And I want to show you this one, because this is the entrance to the square
and to the nice area. So, let me see if I can walk
and bring the camera with me. And those are the… All those horse carriages
they are very nice actually. But, of course, expensive.
I am not sure how much it is right now. I think it should be about 50 euros.
And very nice to have a walk around Seville with them.
Of course, as you can imagine.
But this is the tower.
This is the tower, very nice.
So, this is the, so they say, the carriages is 40 euros for a 1 hour,
for a 1 hour trip around the city, so.
It’s very nice, as you can see.
He’s funny, he’s telling me, he say, sorry the cathedral is closed today, yeah?
So you will have to take the carriage, it’s the only thing you have left.
So, actually that’s not that bad marketing, it’s funny,
telling the people that the cathedral is closed
so that their only alternative is to see the…
Okay, 45 euros- 45 minutes. That’s the price for the carriages, so.
And this is the square in front of the cathedral and in front of the Giralda.
This is, I hope you can see it in the video, because this is very, very nice right here.
And it’s one absolute must, if you want to see a nice city in the world,
you have to come to Seville. It’s absolutely fantastic.
But not only for this. I mean, just the, you can see the,
sorry for the zooming… but I want to show you everything.
Look at this square.
And as I said, this is one of the, for me it’s one of the most romantic
and beautiful cities in the world.
This is the cathedral which is the biggest cathedral in the world.
And it’s closed today…
But it’s always good to come and have a visit in Seville.
Even if the cathedral is closed.
Well, anyway, I hope you got a good idea about the city.
Let me show you this one again.
So that’s the tower that is close to the cathedral.
And please, please come to Seville, it’s an absolutely fantastic city.
So, this is Eduardo, my name is Eduardo,
I’m Eduardo and this is “Travel”.

Sevilla, townhall and Christmas street market

And this is “Travel”, a “Travel Video Blog”.
I am today in Sevilla, in Seville, in the south of Spain,
in a city that is, I think, one of the most romantic cities in the world.
And I’m going to show you what I can see
walking in the street.
I am, we are in the center of the city.
You can see it’s very sunny.
I’m using my sunglasses, which is funny, because it’s…
Today is the, I think 19th of December.
So, I’m… At the previous videos you saw that I was in Copenhagen.
Actually, I was yesterday in Copenhagen, in Denmark.
So, coming here one day later and seeing all this sun
and all these people in the street is very refreshing and nice.
And we are here. Sorry for the… For the…
Sound. But this is a Christmas market.
I wanted to show you this one.
We are, this big building here is the… is the town hall.
And this is the Christmas market in Seville,
which is right now closed.
They will open in a few minutes.
But as I said, that behind is the…
That is the town hall building.
This is the Christmas market.
I guess we’ll come tonight just to do a little bit of shopping,
and a little bit of walking around and seeing if we can find anything for Christmas.
And, here we are.
And, there you go.
What you can see there at the end,
that is La Giralda.
That is the tower, probably the most famous tower in Spain,
and for sure the most famous tower in Seville.
It is La Giralda, which was originally built by the Arabs,
and then afterwards was built up on the previous one by the Christians.
So, it’s absolutely gorgeous.
Let’s go this way. So we are entering the center
and the Giralda area, and the center of the touristic quarters.
Very nice city, by the way.
It’s extremely, extremely nice to walk around and just to see.
So, anyway, I wanted to show you this first video of Seville.
I will record a few more so you can have a look at the city and how it is,
and how people live and how people enjoy this city and other cities.
So, as I said, my name is Eduardo, and this is “Travel”.
So, and you can see, wine and much more.

Stroget Street in Copenhagen, Denmark

By hombrelobo on Sunday, 28 December 2008

Transcription:
Hi, oh sorry I have no hands. I have to do everything with gloves
and it’s a bit difficult. My name is Eduardo, and this is Travel.
A travel video blog. I was not going to record in Copenhagen.
We are in Copenhagen now, in Denmark. I was not going to record it, it’s very cold
as you can see, with my hat and everything.
But I saw this Christmas song that you probably saw in the previous video
and I love it, and I recorded a couple of them
so I decided just to continue recording. Where I am?
that is the Christmas Tree that they put in front of the town hall
and I’m just walking towards Stroget.
Stroget is the most famous pedestrian street in Copenhagen,
it’s all the shopping… Well, the traditional shopping street
I mean where all the places where all of the people come here
just to walk around, to see people and just to enjoy themselves
I’ve been here for half-an-hour. So I’m going to walk at least
a few minutes within the street so you get a feeling about this place,
and this is just the street. I will show you a little bit
of what you can expect here. Apart from the guy in the corner there,
it’s a friendly place, plenty of people and now it’s Christmas,
not Christmas yet, but it’s getting close to Christmas
that’s why you see the decorations and things.
And you can see the street that communicates, or goes
from the town hall to the central square. Well one of the central squares,
and I extremely recommend it.
If you went to see Copenhagen, you have to do this Stroget, this street.
And from one end to the other. Probably you will do it several times
because it’s, it’s a very popular street. I talk too much, right?
And sometimes I wonder how the people who are doing the subtitles
can cope with what I say, how I say it, and all that. They do have
a pretty good job most of the time. I will keep recording the street while I talk.
and I was always wondering how do they do all the subtitling.
And just in case you are wondering,
all the subtitles that I put into video are done by SubPly,
and it’s a company that, that is doing that, just putting sub-titles to videos.
And actually it’s in the promotion they have where by they…
They do it for free, so I don’t have to pay up.
At least not for the time being for the services. And that is very nice,
because I don’t make money with this video so that will be kind of difficult for me to pay.
But anyway, so I would recommend you to have a look at their services.
I think their website if I don’t remember wrongly, SubPly, SubPly.com
and I’m sure that they will be able to put that right in their subtitles.
So, anyway… I will keep recording a bit more about the street.
As you can see, we’ve been walking on this shopping street, and shops,
and cafeterias. The cafeterias of course,
in summer time they are very nice. In winter time, they are a little bit empty.
At least the terraces because it’s winter time and it’s cold.
And you seem a bit lost, so I don’t know if I’m focusing right
or putting the camera in the right place
or if you can see me or not, anyway. Ok, this is one of the squares
with not much light so I don’t think you will be seeing much.
Anyway, I wanted to show you this,
this is the beginning of the Stroget, this street continues down,
and you probably will be able to see it in the video
and I’m going to continue, I’m going to continue walking myself
but I don’t want this video to be so long, so I will stop here
and will let you have a few more images.
Enjoy Copenhagen, I’m Eduardo and this is Travel.

Dubai International Airport and Duty Free shops

By hombrelobo on Monday, 22 December 2008

Transcription:
Hi, my name is Eduardo, and this is “Travel”.
The “Travel Video Blog”.
And I’m at the Duty Free, or, yeah, the Duty Free of the…
Dubai airport. Just entered the…
the gate here, and I wanted just to show you the first impression.
It’s not too big, to be honest.
I have to go, let me see, that way.
Let me see, I have to go that way.
113 and I have to go 115.
I guess it will be that way. This is 113?
Okay, I don’t know which way I have to go, but I will show you where we are.
It’s famous for the lotteries that they have.
I mean, that’s one of the good things about the Duty Free in Dubai.
They have, for instance, this is a lottery.
You have one change in one thousand, let me show you, to win
a Harley Davidson.
And the price for the ticket, so they only issue a thousand tickets,
for the lottery for this motorcycle.
And the price for the ticket is 100 dirhams, which is something like,
$25 US, a bit less in euros.
About 22, 23 euros.
So, it’s not a bad deal.
I mean, you have, how many times do you have a chance of one in one thousand.
Not many, so. And for the rest, it’s a typical, big terminal,
with a lot of shops. Electronics are not bad.
Although you can probably buy some really good electronics in Dubai downtown.
But, let me see… Let me see…
What else to show you. Okay, this is electronics, a little shop.
Next…
Typical… I mean, buying Godiva in Dubai.
It should be the French, but I guess that is… if the price is right, why not.
And this is the terminal. It’s nice. I mean, it’s…
It looks big at first but it’s, as I said,
it’s not really that big.
It’s likely… There’s more terminal.
Today I had to wake up at 6 in the morning.
I’m having the flight at 8am.
So, right now, it’s something like 7 in the morning.
So, if this looks like an evening thing, no, it’s not an evening.
It’s… early, early, early in the morning.
Which is a bit strange because you have all these lights and casinos,
and everything, and the lotteries, the raffle.
And you have the feeling that… that it’s late at night.
But no.
Let me see, I want to see, actually I’m… This is another raffle, by the way.
This car. It’s… a BMW.
And you have, how many tickets? A thousand tickets at…
500 dirhams. 500 dirhams each, so that is about 125 euros, I guess.
And… And you can win a BMW. That’s not bad… not bad.
But, I’m looking for a… For a raffle for…
For a lottery for… For cash.
I know that in the past, there were plenty of cash raffles.
I remember there was like, prizes like, $1 million, and the ticket was like $100.
Something like that. So it’s, it’s not a bad deal.
And they, of course, the funny thing is that if you get the prize,
you get it in Dubai, tax free. And you can put it in a bank in Dubai,
and nobody will know.
If you live in New York or in the US, that is kind of an attractive proposal, isn’t it?
But this is the terminal.
This is the check in area, which, probably they don’t like me to record.
These are the… okay, I have to go that way.
Now I saw, it is 115, I have to go that way.
Let me see. Okay. Oops, sorry.
I’m getting on here..
So, here we go. More Duty Frees.
I’m Eduardo, and this is “Travel”.
I hope you like the videos.
I hope you don’t get tired of the videos.
Sorry, I have the trolley, I’m trying to hold the trolley up here.
And, I hope you like the videos and I hope you subscribe already
to the RSS feed space. See you.
I’m so bad with this.
I mean… I’m actually… I’m surprised by the way I’m…
Sorry for saying goodbye, and then not cutting it,

but, I’m surprised, because I’m used to doing this in Spanish.
And I’m kind of, okay, I can do it reasonably well.
I’m not… I don’t feel embarrassed or anything.
But in English, that’s the problem, that…
Many people understand you when you are talking in English,
so you are walking around with a camera in your face,
saying things and you know everybody’s understanding you.
I mean, in Spanish, at least nobody understands, or, I can say anything.
But anyway, that was it. Until the next video.
